Michael Lathrop teaches Honors Physics, General Physics, Applied Physics, and Introduction to Engineering.  He is a 1973 graduate of CMR and has a BS in Secondary Education with a Broadfield in Science, majors in Mathematics and Physical Science, and a minor in Chemistry from Western Montana College in Dillon Montana.  He has a MS in Chemistry with an emphasis in Physical Chemistry from Washington State University Pullman, WA.  He has taught at CMR since 1994.  In 2007 he was named the General Education Teacher of the Year by the Montana Council of Administrators of Special Education.  He was the Key Club Advisor and has received the Leland Key of Honor from the Montana District of Key Club International.  In 2010 he received the Velma Jordan Award for his dedication to student success from CMR High School.  In 2012 he received the Montana Science Teachers Association Award for Superior Achievement in Science Education in Physics.
